Are you in need of detox?
NAD/NTR rapid detox is effective in assisting with alcohol and drug addiction. It has shown to profound effects on decreasing cravings and withdrawal symptoms, while helping to improve mental functions once the patient is undergoing the detox treatment. This method has shown to work most effectively with patients suffering from alcohol and opiate addiction. Withdrawals from both of these substances are incredibly painful and patients who have undergone this treatment have reported a decrease in withdrawal symptoms of 50 to 80 percent without the aid of any other detox medications.
Patients who struggle with benzodiazepines can also benefit from this treatment. Some other supplemental detox treatment may be needed depending on how long the patient has been abusing these medications and in exceptionally higher doses.
The NAD/NTR rapid detox uses naturally occurring substances to help restore the body and mind to their optimal form. It does so without the use of any potentially addictive medications which are used in more traditional forms of detox. Below are some common withdrawal symptoms associated with substances that require medical attention such as opiates, alcohol and benzodiazepines. If one is experiencing any of these symptoms, they should consider moving into a detox facility immediately.
Opiates
Detoxing from opiates is very painful and should be medically assisted. It is not life-threatening like detoxing as with benzodiazepines or alcohol. Symptoms of withdrawal include:
- Nausea and vomiting
- General muscle aches
- Flu-like symptoms
- Heavy fever-like sweating
- Abdominal cramps
- Diarrhea
- Insomnia (patients will often “kick” at night)
Symptoms of opiate withdrawal usually last roughly seven to ten days. More common methods used to treatment opiate addiction include the use of Suboxone. This substance is has shown to help many get off of heroin and prescription opioids such as Oxtcontin, Opana, Delaudid and Fentantyl, but it is susceptible to abuse so patient’s use is monitored and must be medically administered. The NAD/NTR rapid detox requires no use of any addictive substance during the detox process and is used not just to treat withdrawal symptoms, but also helps to diminish them entirely.
Alcohol
Alcohol withdrawals are very painful and can be life-threatening if they are not monitored and treated properly. Most often, these symptoms will occur within 48 to 96 hours after the patient has taken their last drink but can occur as soon as just two hours after. Some common symptoms include:
- Insomnia
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Nausea and vomiting
- Fever
- Chest pain
- Profuse sweating
- Seizures
- Delirium tremens
Delirium tremens is an extremely severe form of alcohol withdrawal which requires immediate hospitalization to be monitored. It involves severe changes to the central nervous system where patients can demonstrate such symptoms as disorientation, body tremors and audio and visual hallucinations. In traditional detox programs, alcoholics are administered low doses of benzodiazepines like valium or ativan to treat withdrawal symptoms.
Benzodiazepines
Detoxing from benzodiazepines or “benzos” can have severe withdrawal symptoms that can be life-threatening is not treated properly. Patients must be monitored when undergoing benzo detox. Symptoms associated with benzo withdrawal are similar to that of alcohol and include:
- Severe anxiety attacks
- Insomnia
- Paranoia
- Nausea and vomiting
- Flu-like symptoms
- Body tremors
- Seizures
Detoxing patients from benzos often requires the use of a slow tapering process. They are administered in small doses over a period of just around a week or two to make sure the patient is not taken off of the medication too quickly.
NAD/NTR rapid detox treatment is able to eliminate the need for controlled medications during the detox process and allows patients to detox from alcohol and drugs using only naturally-occurring substances and provide them with a smooth transition into recovery.
